Re: Bad MAF sensor With GIAC software, you should be able to unplug it with no adverse effects. The mass airflow sensor (MAF) measures the amount of air entering the engine. The signal wire for this MAF is PIN 4 which should be a light green colored wire. There are various codes that refer to the Mass Air Flow (MAF) or Air Mass sensor (MAS). being that maf counts is the first thing any tuner looks at its pretty safe to assume the maf is fine any 'calibrated' or flowed/modified maf is going to have the cover removed and glued back on thats perfectly normal. I know many of the aftermarket ones are junk. I unplugged the Sensor and now it at least idles, but has zero power anything more that half 1/4 throttle.
